A part of Highway 34 in the Big Thompson Canyon will be completely closed intermittently starting Tuesday, April 16.

Crews will excavate holes for power pole installations using explosives.

Traffic will stop near Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park between mile markers 77 and 79 in 15-minute intervals each hour from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
