Hummingbirds Have Returned To Colorado And Now I’m A Bird Watcher
It's officially spring and Beauty of Birds has confirmed that hummingbirds have returned to Colorado for breeding.
The males usually arrive first to find breeding grounds for the birds. The females follow later to build the nest, where they will then care for their eggs, according to the Denver Post.
If you'd like to see some of these beautiful avian helicopters, set out some sugar water. At least since you're spending more time at home, there's never been a better time for bird-watching.
To make some sugar water, mix four parts sugar with one part water and let it dissolve. Then, set it out in a dish or, if you want to get really fancy, there are countless DIY videos online for making your own nectar dispenser. When you're ready, put the nectar water in a shaded or partially-shaded area.
