National Coffee Day in Northern Colorado Means Huge Mental Health Fundraiser
Many, many people in Northern Colorado love a good cup of coffee, especially on a Monday. One Monday in September of 2025, will not only see a lot of coffee sold, but a lot of people helped with their mental health.
How Long Has The Human Bean Been in Northern Colorado?
The Human Been, overall, has been around since starting out in Oregon in 1998. In 2002 they started franchising, and in 2004 Frank and Kay Sherman opened their very first The Human Bean in Evans. Today, they own ten across Northern Colorado.
When The Human Bean opened in Evans in 2004, it was the first double-sided drive-thru for coffee in the area.
If you know The Human Bean, you know that they are very supportive of the people in the communities they serve; they often have fundraisers, including having "guest" baristas handing out coffee. One fundraising endeavor is about helping those struggling with their mental health.

On Monday, September 29, 2025, with September being National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month, all The Human Beans in Northern Colorado will be donating virtually every dollar made by selling coffee that day to North Range Behavioral Health, and their Suicide Education and Support Services.
What is the Exception to The Human Bean's Fundraiser?
Though they are donating sales of drip and iced coffee that day, cold brew drinks are excluded. It's still a very large amount that they will be giving to North Range. Representatives from North Range Behavioral Health will be at The Human Been on 10th Street in Greeley on Friday, September 26, 2025 with information about the center.
