Highest Paid American Idol Alumni

Forbes magazine had a look at the past winners of American Idol to see who's earning what these days. The biggest earner probably won't surprise you.

Singing for the NFL, on TV in the remake of The Sound of Music, Carrie Underwood came in first earning $31 million last year. This includes touring and, of course, endorsement deals.

Second place went to Kelly Clarkson, who had to be happy with $7 million in 2013, considering that she was also married this year.

Third place is a tie, with Phillip Phillips and Adam Lambert both raking in $5 million apiece.
