Brent Musberger's comments about a young woman in the stands during the college football national championship game between Alabama and Notre Dame are causing him some trouble...and gaining her national attention.

During the game, cameras cut to the family of Alabama's quarterback, AJ McCarron. His mom was sitting with his girlfriend, Katherine Webb, who is also Miss Alabama. Musberger was obviously blown away by her beauty, and his comments have made headlines, but not in a good way. According to CNN.com, Musburger's fawning attention prompted criticism of the 73-year-old broadcaster, with some posters to Twitter calling his comments "creepy." The episode even spawned the creation of a parody Twitter account, "Horny Musburger."

The attention she received from the broadcasters has translated into national attention. She went from a scant 526 followers December 26 to more than 148,000 on January 8, according to the stats site TwitterCounter.com, outscoring her gridiron boyfriend's 91,000 fans on the social networking service.
