Is he really supposed to be doing that? Check out this Colorado State Trooper going well beyond the call of duty.

Your eyes don't deceive you. That's a Colorado State Trooper assisting an 18-wheeler up a Colorado pass under less-than-desireable conditions.

Okay, I had to ask, is the patrol car really providing any assistance? I would like to believe so, but then again, this is like an ant pushing grizzly bear up the side of a hill. I reached out to a friend of mine, truck driver and guitarist-extraordinaire Steve Harding of the band Lever Action. Here's what he had to say.

He can push enough to keep the truck from spinning out but that truck is running under his own power. - Steve Harding

I couldn't imagine driving a truck up a mountain in the snow. Check out this video of a semi trying to get up a snow-covered hill.

It's none of my business, but if I were the guy in the jeep at 2:06, I think I'd be putting a little more distance between me and the semi.

Here's to you, Colorado State Patrol officer. That's the most extreme example of doing somebody a solid ever recorded.
