Hepatitis A Shots Available for Customers Who Ate at Tortilla Marissa’s
More shots will be available this afternoon due to the recent Hepatitis A "outbreak" from Tortilla Marissa's.
The Larimer County Health Department will be giving out more free shots today to those who have eaten at the restaurant in the past two weeks. On Saturday more than 400 customers received free shots. They are urging anyone who ate there in the past two weeks to come receive a vaccination.
For those who have eaten there past the 14 days, you should monitor your health. The shots will not provide protection for someone who was exposed longer than two weeks ago. Be on the look out for these symptoms: fever, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal discomfort, dark urine, gray or white stools, and jaundice (yellowing of the eyes and/or skin). The symptoms usually appear four weeks after being infected.
The clinic will be at the Larimer County Health office in Fort Collins from 5pm to 8pm today. They are located at 1525 Blue Spruce Drive.
