What’s Next? Legendary Colorado Brewery Has Closed Down
Colorado's craft beer scene has seen many established breweries closing down the last few years. Loveland, Colorado's very first brewery has announced the closure of the place that people have known them for.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
This change, however, seems like the more things change, the more things change.
Folks wanting to stop by 623 N. Denver Ave. in Loveland are going to be finding that the brewery/taproom they were hoping to stop in at is no longer there.
As of Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, Loveland's first independent brewery, Grimm Brothers, a Colorado legend, will be closing its longtime taproom. That taproom was just a stone's throw from the original location, just across the parking lot.
WHY IS GRIMM BROTHERS BREWERY IN LOVELAND CLOSING ITS TAPROOM?
According to the Reporter-Herald, Grimm's taproom is making a move across town. The new owners of the brewery believe the new space will offer more: more outdoor space and more space inside.

I've been to Grimm Brothers more than a few times; over the years, the Denver Avenue taproom went from "small" to "bigger," but it definitely wouldn't be confused for being a "large" taproom.
The new owners of Grimm Brothers are looking to change things up with the longtime brand; creating a new taproom is a way to get things going in a different direction.
WHERE IS GRIMM BROTHERS BREWERY'S NEW TAPROOM GOING TO BE?
If you haven't heard of The Forge in Loveland, it wouldn't be a surprise, but the "campus" is really starting to grow. In April 2023, a new cafe opened within the former HP facility, bringing with it pizza that used to be in downtown Loveland.

The new owners of Grimm Brothers have bought out that cafe, Col Kitchen & Cafe, and are going to transform it into the taproom for the brewery.
There is lots of space inside and outside at the new location, that's for sure.
GRIMM BROTHERS' NEW TAPROOM COMES WITH NEW THINGS
According to the Reporter-Herald, with the new taproom, fans of Grimm Brothers will find more beverage and food options. Customers will see the addition of wines and cocktails.
