Go for the Gold – Golden, Colorado’s Huge Golden Retriever Party

This was one Colorado celebration for the dogs - literally. There was a golden reason why the streets of Golden, Colorado were filled with Golden Retrievers. It was their annual celebration of one of America's favorite dog breeds.

Visit Golden has a website dedicated to the February 5 "Goldens in Golden" event. They mentioned that a couple days ago was International Golden Retrievers Day. They're great dogs and the AKC nailed it when it described the breed as "friendly, intelligent and devoted".

What an appropriate place for a celebration of all things Golden Retriever in Golden, Colorado. Woof.
