I'm just kidding. As much as I love Project Runway, we're not talking about that kind of fashion today. We're talking about interior design — and which interior design style is Colorado's favorite.

I'm actually surprised at the answer. Considering that our state is heavily associated with mountain living (and that celebrities like Oprah and Kevin Costner have very woodsy-looking Colorado pads), I assumed the Centennial State would prefer a rustic look.

Nope.

According to a new survey from Wren Kitchens, Colorado's favorite interior design style is...drumroll please...industrial.

Yup, you read that right. However, the design style isn't as cold as it sounds. While the word "industrial" has me thinking of what it would be like to live in a sheet metal factory, the term basically translates to sleek and efficient.

"The style is underpinned by long-lasting and durable design, practical features, and stylish use of metallic elements," reads the Wren Kitchens blog. "In essence, an industrial kitchen is fashioned to operate with uncomplicated ease."

This still doesn't sound very cozy to me, but I'll take it. We aren't alone in our industrial inklings either — Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia all share Colorado's interior fashion sense.
