A strike could be coming as early as January 9 to some Front Range King Soopers locations. According to the Colorado Sun, the possible strike could affect 87 King Soopers locations in the state of Colorado.

Union members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 authorized the strike citing unfair labor practices. The members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 have been advised to report to work as they normally would until advised by the union.

According to UFCW Local 7's Twitter, 98 percent of Denver Retail has voted in favor of a strike, 97 percent of Denver Meat has voted in favor to strike, along with 100 percent in favor to strike from Parker Meat, Boulder Meat, and Broomfield Meat and Retail.

Strike benefits for full-time union workers that picket range from $80 to $160 per day.

Approximately 58 percent of King Soopers employees are UFCY Local 7 members. The possible upcoming strike from union workers would affect the Denver Metro Area, Boulder, Evergreen, Parker, and Colorado Springs locations.  The store locations per city can be found HERE.

As for Nothern Colorado, It appears that no King Soopers locations will be affected by the possible upcoming strike by union workers.
