Colorado Bars with Free Miller Lite on August 1, 2025

Some bars in Colorado have been selected to give out some of the 50.000 free Miller Lite beers as the beer celebrates 50 years.

How Popular is Miller Lite Beer?

According to Food Network's research in 2023, Miller Lite came in in the top 20 of America's Most-Popular Beers, at #16. I, myself, can name a couple of women I know who only enjoy bottles of Miller Lite. Personally, I'm not a fan; I just never cared for the taste of it, though it is, "Less Filling."

Miller Lite began hitting shelves across the nation in 1975 and started blowing the doors of in it's popularity. Coors had to come up with their own, so they released Coors Light in 1978. Those Miller Lite commercials were all over in the late 70s and 80s: "Less Filling! Tastes Great!"

Miller Lite Celebrates 50 Years with 50,000 Free Beers

Colorado is fortunate to be one of the only 16 states (plus Washington, D.C.) to be included in the Miller Lite's "Cheers to 50 Years" celebration on August 1, 2025, which is International Beer Day. Maybe it's because of Coors having started in Golden that put Colorado on the list.

On August 1, 2025 at 450 bars across America, Miller Lite will be giving out free beer so everyone can toast them at 4:50 p.m. in every time zone. 450 bars, 4:50 is the time.. I'm not sure I see the "450" correlation, but there must be one.
