From art to history, Colorado has a plethora of interesting and educational museums– each displaying unique pieces of creative, original work or momentous exhibits and articles to take you back on a journey through the past. Fortunately, on September 26, visitors will have the opportunity to check out some of these museums completely for free!

In the spirit of Smithsonian Magazine's annual Museum Day, tons of participating venues across the country will be waiving admission fees to guests throughout Saturday. In Colorado, there are 32 museums who will be offering free admission to visitors on this day. Some of the participating museums to check out near Northern Colorado include The Greeley History Museum, Centennial Village, The Historic Meeker Home, and Fort Vazquez in Platteville.

In order to get into your museum of choice for free, you must register and print out your tickets online. All of the locations mentioned above will also be accepting tickets that can be shown on the screen of a smartphone. The Museum Day Live ticket provides admission for two people per museum and visitors are only allowed one ticket per museum.
