Four Wheeler Stolen From Laporte Man With Autism
A Laporte man who lives with Autism had his only mode of transportation stolen Sunday night.
Kevin Netik is the owner of the Yamaha Rhino utility side-by-side. Kevin's sister tells Denver 7 that this is how Kevin feels independent, saying "It's his lifeline almost."
Kevin's sister said her brother uses it to help neighbors, give rides to his nieces and sells 4H tickets door to door. Recently, Kevin decided it was time to get a new ride, so he put his four wheeler up for sale on Highway 287 in Laporte.
Kevin hooked the chain around the seat of the 4 wheeler when he put it out on the highway with a for sale sign on it. Monday morning he found only the seat out near the highway. The thief unbolted the seat and removed the chain.
