This weekend brings one of the most completely unique and culturally rich opportunities we will see all year in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado. The Fort Collins Studio Tour is a chance for you to go behind the curtain and see how local artists ply their craft. It is a live look at the action in their creative spaces where their inspiration truly comes to life.

The tour takes you into up to 36 artists studios and you can watch them work. This is a self guided tour, it is completely free and you will see the magic come to life. Who knows? You may even be inspired to create some art of your own.

Jeanne Shoaff, the Gallery Coordinator of the Fort Collins Lincoln Center shared with me how the artists that you can see this weekend run the gamut from potters to painters to weavers.

We've got fiber artists doing weaving, and we've got painters, potters... you'll be able to see people throwing a pot, or painting a picture...sculptors, woodworkers...jewelry, just about everything you can think of. There is really just such a great variety of artists in town and   what we are trying to do is get people to know your local artists and support them and find out a little bit more about how fine art is made.

PLUS - Check out the map here. In true Fort Collins fashion, they have detailed safe bike routes to and from these artists' studio locations!! Man, how I love this town!
