Fort Collins Police Need Help Investigating Old Town Assault
Fort Collins Police Services is asking the public for help identifying two men in connection with an Old Town assault.
According to a Facebook post from Fort Collins Police Services, the assault took place in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 2. Around 1:20 a.m., officers arrived at the scene of a dispute between two groups of people near Oak Street and S. College Avenue.
Reportedly, the disturbance escalated to a physical altercation, and one woman was injured. She was transported to, and later released from, a local hospital. The extent of her injuries was not disclosed. Investigators suspect that alcohol was a factor.
Security video shows two men that Fort Collins police believe may be connected to the incident, and are asking for the public's help to identify them and possibly provide investigators with more information about what happened.
'While the video quality isn't extremely clear, we're hoping someone will recognize the men in the picture,' Assistant Chief John Feyen said in the Facebook post. 'We appreciate any leads that will help us find answers for the young woman who was injured."
