FocoMX was incredible. This is a great photo gallery from the Coloradoan.

The city was absolutely buzzing on Friday and Saturday night. I loved the fact that I was having trouble deciding where to go at any given moment. The decision was made easier by the fact that if I wasn't into the scene where I was, there were 30 others to choose from.

Shel absolutely blew us away! They were so amazing and before FocoMX I wouldn't have known them if I tripped over them. That's the good stuff.

Our venues overflowed-eth! Musician Maxwell Hughes was quoted in the Rocky Mountain Collegian:

“I was thinking I could scoot back, and you could all move in closer –– try and help the situation out,” Hughes suggested to his many fans, all trying to find a spot in the small lounge area. “This FoCoMX thing is pretty cool, but I don’t have to tell any of you that because you are all here,” Hughes said between two songs.

The audience responded with a roar.

I was left feeling like a person who has a wonderful day in church on Christmas and vows to go again before Easter. I want to carry this feeling throughout the rest of the year, and make the local music scene more a part of my life. Hey, my part is easy. All I have to do is pay admission and enjoy.
