A 24-year-old male was arrested on Monday, April 13, 2020, on suspicion after firing shots from a moving vehicle. He had 10 weapons with him that day.

It's one thing to shoot off a gun recklessly on a Monday night. But to do so with a total of 10 weapons on you that day seems like a VERY bad Monday.

In a Facebook post, the Weld County Sheriff's Office reported that a Weld County Sheriff's deputy responded to a call about shots fired from a car east of Longmont in unincorporated Weld County on County Road 7 at about 9:45 p.m.

Though no car was on the scene when the deputy arrived, the person who called in the report gave a description of the car - a foreign vehicle with a modified exhaust. The deputy found five .56-caliber spent shell casings, just 100 yards away from the caller's house.

The deputy, in what turned out to be a very wise decision, decided to wait around a while to see if the car would come back down the road. About an hour later, a silver Lexus sedan with a modified exhaust came down the road, cruising past the deputy. The car did not come to a complete stop at the sign; the deputy pulled the car over.

There were three people in the car, including the driver, 24-year-old Jeremy Combs. Another deputy arrived to assist with the stop; they saw an AR-15 style rife along with a magazine in the back of the car.

After having the three males exit the car, Combs admitted to firing his guns while driving near County Road 7 and County Road 28. The deputies search Combs and found a handgun on his person, bringing his total weapon count up to two. The deputies then searched the trunk and found eight more weapons, for a total of 10 firearms in Combs' possession.

Combs, a Fort Collins resident, told the deputies he owned all the weapons and was the only one who fired any of them. Combs was arrested on one felony charge of possession of an illegal weapon, as well as misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment, unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon, and prohibited use of a weapon.

The two others, Stephon Tyler and Jonathan Elrod, were cited for reckless endangerment and released.
