College students rejoice, you now have a ride home from Old Town on Saturday night; that is, as long as you're not out too late...

The Coloradoan reports the Transfort bus system is expanding its hours, as part of a plan to get residents using the new MAX transit system.

Starting next spring, five of the city’s busiest bus routes will run until 10:30 p.m. to help feed riders onto the new MAX service on the Mason Corridor.

At the moment, Transfort does not plan on adding Sunday bus service to the expanded hours, due to financial constraints.

I haven't ridden the bus since college, but I know I would have used it a lot more if it had run later.  So I'd say this is a good thing!
