Who Is This New Car Dealer Coming to Loveland to Take Over an Old Spot?
After a near $7 million deal, it would appear an empty/dilapidated former car lot in Loveland will see new life as.. another car lot. $7 million is a lot, but it is a great location. Will they succeed?
It was about three years ago, that this longtime car dealership in Loveland made the move from the middle of town, out to eastern side of town, leaving their big lot. This new business that looks to be taking over, doesn't even really like to be called a "dealership." Who are they?
If anything, it will be good to see this building renovated (or replaced) after quickly falling into disarray, at 999 East Eisenhower, as tourists make their way from the interstate to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. There are definitely other buildings along Eisenhower that have a way of making Loveland look "bad," but this one is pretty large. How will it look in a year?

Having grown up in Loveland, I wish I could tell you for sure that this location has always been some sort of car dealership, but I'm not positive. It goes way back to when a man who worked for Nick Davidson (another longtime Loveland car dealer) opened Garrett Motors. Then it became Canyon Ford, after that, Heritage Ford, then Loveland Ford.

According to the Reporter-Herald, the purchaser of the "old" lot is the a company owned by Jeff Vanderval. Vanderval began ClearShift, an online car retailer, in 2016. His company opened a physical lot for ClearShift in 2021, in Highlands Ranch.
Will this former Loveland Ford spot become a second ClearShift location? That has yet to be seen, but they do seem like a decent company: their motto includes the phrase:
We believe in giving and receiving, not buying and selling.
Soon enough, whatever will be coming to the lot, will be bringing crews to make that lot their own.
