Pittsburgh Steelers assistant coach and former Colorado State University standout, Joey Porter, was arrested on multiple charges following the Steelers' win over the Miami Dolphins in an AFC Wild-Card Playoff game on Sunday.

Porter, faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, and terroristic threats. An off-duty officer was serving as a security guard nearby and witnessed Porter assault a bouncer at a nearby bar.

The Pittsburgh Steelers organization released a statement saying:

“We are aware of an incident tonight involving Joey Porter. We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and we will have no further comments until we get more details.”
Porter is a 13-year NFL veteran and is currently the linebackers coach in Pittsburgh.  He spent eight years playing for Pittsburgh.  Porter attended Colorado State University and was a defensive assistant in 2013.  While at CSU he majored in exercise and sports science and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.
