One of the most popular non-profits in Fort Collins, FoCo Cafe, has helped tens of thousands in its 10+ years; the time has come around for the community to help the cafe.

A Non-Profit Cafe in Fort Collins Got Its Start While Having a Couple of Beers

FoCo Cafe (Feeding Our Community Ourselves) opened on Thanksgiving Day 2014; the founders were having a conversation over some Fort Collins-area beer, and came up with the idea of a non-profit restaurant, much like Denver's SAME (So All May Eat) Cafe.

Since its inception, FoCo Cafe has served over 144,000 meals, with their "Pay What You Can" model. Suggested donations run $4-$30 for those paying.

2025 Grant Funding Cuts Cut Deep for FoCo Cafe

With grant funding cuts that have been felt across the nation in 2025, FoCo Cafe's funding was slashed by 70%. That means the cafe has a $77,000 shortfall for 2025, with demand for what the cafe does having seen a 5X increase from 2022-2024. That spells trouble for cafe and those that need it.

FoCo Cafe, in Downtown Fort Collins at on Maple east of Mason, is currently reaching out to the Northern Colorado community for help. They're looking to raise not only the $77,000 their short for 2025, but an additional $23,000 to have secure footing heading into 2026.

Your support helps ensure we can meet the growing needs of our community while maintaining our commitment to quality, sustainability, and dignity for all.

As of the end of August of 2025, they were are about $45,000 of their $100,000 goal. Ways to Help FoCo Cafe:
