Firefighters From Nearly Every US State Fighting Cameron Peak Fire
Yeah, even Alaska and Hawaii. For over two months now, crews have been battling what is now Colorado's largest wildfire — ever — burning near Fort Collins, Loveland and Estes Park. At this point, nearly the entire country is helping us out.
The Cameron Peak Fire's official information Facebook page shared that 34 out of the 50 U.S. states are represented by the firefighters battling the blaze, from Alaska to Wyoming.
Only Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Rhode Island, West Virginia, Vermont and Washington, D.C. do not have personnel assigned to Cameron Peak Fire.
