Fire at Larimer County Landfill
A lot of good things about this fire: nobody was hurt and all that caught fire was junk, or in this case, recyclables.
Employees at the Larimer County Landfill (5887 South Taft Hill Road) discovered a fire inside the recycling facility Monday morning. According to the Coloradoan, staff and crews attempted to put out the fire with a tractor loader, but Poudre Fire Authority crews took care of the rest. Two employees were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation but did not go the the hospital. There was no reported damage to the facility.
An investigation has begun to determine the cause of the fire.
