Jeggings. Short boots. Ruffled tops. Yesterday was my wife's birthday, but I swear I may have had more fun than she. We went on a pilgrimage to Flatiron Crossing in Broomfield, and it was more than I could have expected.

The human female is the most beautiful thing that has ever blessed this Earth, and since my wife is the most beautiful female of them all, of course I am going to have a great time helping her try on flattering fashion styles that make her look great!

To me, fashion is a celebration of the moment. When I put something on that looks, or just feels fabulous--if it's relevant, flattering, clean, and feels like it was made for just for me--it makes me feel like today matters. It is a celebration of today, whatever today may be. It could be a t-shirt and jeans day, but the finest of fashion shines through when the t-shirt and jeans are wearing are the t-shirt and jeans for that day.

That's why I love shopping so much. Besides doing laundry to keep the wardrobe ready, it is all the work that has to be done to celebrate any occasion. Once I have anything I could need to fit all different situations, all I have to do is grab it, put it on and head out. Believe me, I don't spend a lot of time preening and primping. The time I spend preparing is done at the clearance rack, the big sale, or deciding if the full price item is worth the money. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

We spent most of our time in H&M and that was the main reason we drove so far to shop. Well, that, and because a drive with my wife is a nice way to spend the day. I have to say that H&M is a store we need in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado. I was first exposed to it on the show Fashion Star, and yesterday was the first time I actually went there. The prices and selection truly wowwed me. We bought  designer dress for $20, a heavy p-coat for $30, some shirts for like $10 and found score after score after score for Sarah's wardrobe.
