If you listen to the show, you know I'm into fashion. For me, dressing well, presenting myself in a positive way, and paying attention to current styles is completely self serving. When I tell myself that I'm important enough to want to look good, others seem to respond favorably. And there is little in this world that gives me more confidence than a hot brand new outfit.

But I never watched Fashion Police on E!. Over the weekend, I ended up watching an episode, and for the fashion or comedy minded, I discovered that this is a good show.

The most redeeming quality? The comedy of Joan Rivers. I was actually shocked by some of her comments. Her co-hosts are regularly taken aback at what she says. She's been an insult comic since before Carson discovered her and her acid tongue is only growing more vicious with age. It is cable, but they have to bleep her about every tenth word.

The other parts of the show that I really like are what give me good ideas about what works and what doesn't. On the last episode I learned that military chic is in and rarely goes out of style. What a useful tidbit for the next time I'm considering a pair of desert camo pants!
