Fan Hit in the Head With A Foul Ball at Rockies Game
The Rockies were in Los Angeles over the weekend for a three game series against the Dodgers. In a scene that has become all too familiar in professional baseball, a fan was hit in the head by a foul ball.
The game was stopped as Dodgers player Cody Bellinger was noticeably shaken up. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts even came out of the dugout to try and calm Bellinger down.
USA Today reports that a woman died last August in that same stadium after being struck by a foul ball.
At the end of last season, 30 major league stadiums expanded netting to protect fans. Even after the expansion, critics are wondering if the nets need to extend all the way down the stadium sidelines.
