Experts Predict the Broncos To Win This Many Games in 2019-20
The Vic Fangio and Joe Flacco era of the Denver Broncos formally begins on Monday night.
Usually when teams hire a new 60-year-old coach and bring in a new 34-year-old starting quarterback it means they are looking for the final pieces of a Super Bowl run — not exactly what's expected of the orange and blue this season.
After a 6-10 campaign last season that included a four-game losing streak to close the season, expectations are pretty low for the Broncos.
Experts both locally and nationally have little faith in a winning campaign this season. Although thanks to the pass rushing tandem of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb as well as the 1-2 running back punch of Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, some pundits think Denver can at least avoid a losing season.
Here are what experts predict:
ESPN: 8-8
CBS Sports: 8-8
Denver Post: 7-9
Five Thirty Eight: 6.8 wins (with a 20 percent chance to make the playoffs, 9 percent chance to win the AFC West and 1 percent chance to win the Super Bowl)
NFL.com: 6.4 wins
Sporting News: 5-11
Sports Illustrated: 4-12
USA Today: 4-12
