Eagles Win in OT to Take Series Lead
The Eagles came from behind in the third period in game three of the Kelly Cup Finals in Florida to beat the Everblades 4-3 in overtime. It was the 7th overtime game for the Eagles this postseason.
It was Ryan Olsen who scored the game tying goal midway through the third period and added the game winning goal at about the 7-minute mark in overtime. The win gives the Eagles a 2-1 series advantage with games 4 and 5 to be played in Florida.
Prior to this series against the Eagles, the Everblades had only lost two games in their postseason. They've matched that total in the first three games against Colorado. However, they do have home ice advantage for the remaining games should it go seven. The Eagles will host game 6, if necessary.
The next game is tomorrow night in Florida. Game time is 5:30pm (Mountain).
