Driver Crashes Into Loveland House Thursday Night, Flees Scene
A man drove a truck off the road and into the side of a house on First Street in Loveland Thursday night (Jan. 21) before fleeing the scene on foot, leaving his vehicle behind.
According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, witnesses at the scene say the truck first hit a parked car next door before driving onto the yard and into the side of the house in the 500 block of East First Street. A person who was residing in the house went outside to see what had occurred after hearing a loud crashing sound.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the driver got out of the car and ran out into First Street before fleeing the crash site several blocks away after being unable to get the truck out of the yard.
The resident followed, saying the man had called for help before fleeing.
Katelyn and Sean Hawley, neighbors to the crash site, said they have had several incidents in the past where their parked cars have been hit by passing drivers .
The Loveland Police Department did not immediately respond for comment or further information, the Loveland Reporter-Herald reported.
