The Denver Zoo is a fun day for the entire family.  The Zoo is open every day of the year, is home to nearly 4,000 animals representing 700 species including the incredibly rare okapi, red-bellied lemur, Amur leopard, black rhino and Siberian tiger. It covers 80 acres within Denver's historic City Park.

About the Zoo

Visitors  can view 3,500 different animals at the Denver Zoo, representing over 650 species. There's more than just lion, tigers and bears.  See leopards, king cobras, black rhinos, coral reef fish, elephants, zebras, vampire bats, gorillas and more.

The Zoo's Summer Hours (March 1-October 31) are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winter Hours (November 1-February 28) are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. although you might want to check the official operating schedule ahead of time just to make sure.

If you are entering our address into your GPS System, please use the following address: 2900 E 23rd Avenue for “GPS Systems Only”

From the North:
Take I-25 south to I-70 (exit #214) then take I-70 East to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit #276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for 2 miles to 23rd Avenue and turn right (west). The main entrance is on 23rd Ave. about 1/2 mile down on the left (south).

From the South:
Take I-25 North to Colorado Boulevard (exit #204). Go north on Colorado Boulevard for 5 miles to 23rd Avenue and turn left (west). The main entrance is on 23rd Avenue about 1/2 mile down on the left (south).

From the East:
Take I-70 West to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit #276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for 2 miles to 23rd avenue and turn right (west). The main entrance is on 23rd Avenue about 1/2 mile down on the left (south).

From the West:
Take I-70 East to Colorado Boulevard south (Exit #276-B). Go south on Colorado Boulevard for 2 miles to 23rd Avenue and turn right (west). The main entrance is on 23rd Avenue about 1/2 mile down on the left (south)
