"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." - Ferris Bueller Pele the Armadillo.

The Denver Zoo let their tiny three-banded armadillo Pele out for a stroll in the sunshine earlier this spring.

A video on the zoo's Facebook page shows Pele taking in all sorts of new sights, sounds, and scents in the daffodil-filled Giraffe Meadow.

According to the zoo, the little creature moves fast, but she is easy to catch because of her small steps and because of her positive association with her crate.

Pele also serves as an Animal Ambassador for the zoo, so she does not reside in a traditional zoo enclosure.

Rather, visitors can see her at pop-up demonstrations (when everything reopens, that is).

However, the daffodil meadow is no longer at the zoo, as staff decided to transform the flower patches into bouquets, which they donated to the staff at Children's Hospital Colorado in April.

Judging by her adorable demeanor, I don't think Pele will mind.
