CSU Reclaims Bronze Boot With 34-24 Win Over Rival Wyoming
The Bronze Boot is returning to Colorado State University for the first time since 2015.
The Rams (1-1) defeated rival Wyoming 34-24 in the annual Border War game on Thursday night in an empty Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins. CSU now leads the all-time 112-game rivalry with a 59-48-5 record.
The upset victory was the first CSU win for new Rams head coach Steve Addazio, who was hired in the offseason.
Freshman kicker Robert Liss helped seal the victory with a clutch 48-yard field goal with 2:46 left in the game.
CSU defensive back Marshaun Cameron helped the Rams start off strong with a a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown on Wyoming's first drive.
CSU Quarterback Patrick O'Brien rushed for a touchdown and tossed two more to tight end Trey McBride.
The Rams next face No. 21 Boise State at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. All Rams games can be heard live on Power 102.9, Home of the Rams.
