The Border War is heading to Sin City.

The Colorado State University's Men's basketball team will kick off the Mountain West Conference Tournament against rival Wyoming at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The No. 6-seeded Rams went 20-11 overall and 11-7 in Mountain West play this regular season. The No. 11 seed Cowboys went 7-23 this season and 2-16 in Mountain West Conference games.

CSU won both previous meetings this season against Wyoming: 72-61 at Moby Arena on Jan. 4 and 77-70 in Laramie on Feb. 15.

The Mountain West Conference Tournament is held March 4-7.

The tournament winner earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament — the Rams are aiming for their first NCAA tournament berth since 2013.

Newly named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year Isaiah Stevens has led CSU with an average of 13 points per game.

Senior Nico Carvacho also averages 12.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game for the Rams.
