As hectic as the crossover season between football and basketball can get, it's incredibly satisfying for anyone who has felt deprived of sports for the last year and a half.

With CSU Football already in full swing, CSU Basketball is right around the corner, and the men's basketball team is itching to give fans a sneak peek.

Colorado State Athletics announced that the CSU Men's Basketball team will be hosting an open scrimmage on Oct. 9, Homecoming Weekend, that is absolutely free to the public.

The Rams were 20-8 overall last season, their second 20 win season under Niko Medved, and took a trip to the NIT where they made it to the semi-final game. The team has been heavily favored for the last couple of seasons to make a splash in college basketball.

This year, Colorado State made ESPN's Way-Too-Early Top 25 list and came in at number 36 for Andy Katz's Way-Too-Early Power 36 ranking for the 2021-22 season.

After a shortened season because of COVID last year, CSU Men's Basketball is returning their entire starting five. Juniors David Roddy and Isaiah Stevens have been recognized since they put on the green and gold.

Seniors Adam Thistlewood and Kendle Moore will continue to play an important leadership role for the program.

The excitement behind the team has only continued to grow over the last few seasons, and Ram fans can rest assured that it will most likely only continue upwards with Medved's recent contract extension through the 2025-26 season.

Colorado State Basketball season tickets are currently on sale now, as well as single-game tickets to finish out the rest of the football season!
