It's a piece of rescue equipment that has been a long time coming. It's a jetpack that paramedics or other first responders can use to go up, quick. Take a look.

I don't really think anyone's going to mistake a person in this suit for Iron Man, but they will be doing 'hero stuff' while in it. How much would you like to give it a shot, like this medic did? Getting these personnel up to hard to reach locations can be paramount.

It absolutely could mean the difference between life and death, when a helicopter is grounded because of weather concerns, when vehicles can't get to the scene and when time is of the essence. It's a budding industry, but I'm sure we'd all love to know that Colorado had a few of these on hand.

In their video, Gravity Industries demonstrates in England their 'JetSuit' on a "small" mountain by Colorado standards. The medic travels up 3,100 feet, as opposed to mountains in Colorado that rise up to almost four times that height.

The company was founded in only 2017, by an oil trader and former member of the Royal Marines. If you live in the U.K. and have about $3,000 U.S., you can have a jetsuit experience. They also have a nice selection of jetsuit t-shirts that you can buy.

The medic in this video only had six days of training with the unit before heading up the mountain. That speaks to how easy it is to learn how to operate. The premise is, the medic would 'fly' up to the injured party on say, Longs Peak, and get them the immediate care they need while more personnel make their way to the scene.

I'm not saying it's ready for Colorado, yet, but it'll be great when it is.
