Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced this week that they are expanding hunting land by over 100,000 acres as part of the Public Access Program.

In the next three years, the program will double the amount of land that can be hunted and fished. They cite the growing population as the reason for the expansion. With so many people moving to Colorado, the desire for outdoor sports is growing like never before.

Governor Jared Polis:

“Colorado is known for our incredible natural beauty, and I’m committed to expanding the public’s access to and enjoyment of our treasured state and federal land. Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Public Access Program for sportsmen and women is growing just in time for the upcoming 2019 hunting season.”
