Colorado State Parks Offering Free Admission to Military Members in August
As a way of showing appreciation to those who have previously served, or are currently serving our country, Colorado State Parks will be offering free admission to active duty military members and veterans during the entire month of August.
The August Military Pass can be obtained at any Colorado State Parks or CPW office by showing proof of military service. The agency will accept Veterans Affairs medical cards, state-issued identification cards with the veteran seal on it, active or retired military identifications, DD Form 2, DD214 or DD Form 2765. If you're already in the CPW system as a military member or veteran, no further proof is needed. The hang tag is valid for all 41 state parks, and applies for military spouses and children as well as the individual who has actually served. Although park admission is free for servicemen and women throughout August, all other fees, such as camping, still apply.
