A mountain lion kitty lurked from up a tree near Arvada's Ralston Creek Trail earlier in January.

The mountain lion's mother was nowhere in sight when crews arrived.

Colorado Parks & Wildlife was able to capture and assess the cat. The cub was determined to be about 5-8 weeks old and in a fair body condition.

The mountain lion cub was let go to be reunited with its mother overnight.
