Colorado Eagles 2020-2021 Season Start Delayed Until December
The Colorado Eagles usually start their season in early October. Due to the pandemic, the AHL is delaying the next season's start until after Thanksgiving.
In a press release on July 30, 2020, the American Hockey League (AHL) announced that December 4, 2020, will be the start date for the new season, adding:
The AHL will continue to work with its member clubs to monitor developments and local guidelines in all 31 league cities.
More details on the upcoming season, including fans' access, are still to come. The playoffs and the Calder Cup for the 2019-2020 season were canceled, also due to the pandemic.
The Colorado Eagles have been in the AHL since the 2018-2019 season.
