It's National CNA — Certified Nursing Assistant — week from June 18-24, 2020. To recognize the great work of these medical professionals, Townsquare Media is profiling a different Northern Colorado CNA each day to help the public better understand and appreciate the important position.

Melissa Culbertson had intended to become a nurse when she first became employed in the medical field as a CNA.

But she fell in love with the CNA position because of its opportunities for one-on-one work and relationships with patients.

Culbertson, who works at Columbine Commons Health & Rehab, has now been a CNA for 17 years. She called in for a Q&A about the position:
