Cheyenne National Weather Service Warns Of Possible Blizzard
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about the possibility of blizzard conditions in eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle starting on Wednesday morning.
The agency says winds of over 50 mph and heavy snow are possible. the service posted this statement on its website Monday morning:
March 11th Morning Update: A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect starting at midnight early Wednesday morning and continuing through late Thursday afternoon. A strong winter storm is expected to move into the central plains Tuesday night and rapidly strengthen. Heavy snow and wind gusts over 50 mph are expected with this storm during the day on Wednesday and may result in blizzard conditions across the eastern plains.
