A Cheyenne man accused of choking his pregnant step-daughter and throwing her to the floor has been bound over to Laramie County District Court.

Forty-three-year-old Steven King is charged with aggravated assault and battery against a pregnant woman and unlawful contact - touch.

According to court documents, King's step-daughter and her boyfriend were visiting her mother on November 23, when King entered the house and told them they needed to leave or else he was going to knock the boyfriend "out where he stood."

King's step-daughter told police when she told King to stop, he grabbed her by the throat and threw her backwards causing her to hit the back of her head on the floor.

King is facing up to ten years in prison if convicted. His arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.
