Celebrate Earth Day With Events in Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley
It's not Earth's birthday, but it's similar. Earth Day is an anniversary date. April 22nd is the anniversary of the environmental movement, which started in 1970.
Earth Day is celebrated around the world in many different ways. Festivals with a focus on recycling, gardening, and buying second-hand items are popular. Trash cleanups are often planned. Some people like to plant trees on Earth Day.
In Northern Colorado, there are several ways to celebrate our planet this Saturday, April 22nd.
Earth Day in Fort Collins
Fort Collins will have the 13th Annual Earth Day Celebration put on by the Sustainable Living Association. It takes place at Civic Center Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a free family event, but you are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank for Larimer County.
There will be live music, speakers, food trucks, a farmers market, kid's activities, booths, a beer garden, and arts and crafts.
