Cameron Peak Fire Grows to Over 2,000 Acres
The Cameron Peak Fire that started at approximately 1:48 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, has grown to over 2,000 acres as of Friday morning. The 2,180-acre fire is burning 15 miles southwest of Red Feather Lakes and has prompted evacuations in the area.

Larimer County Sheriff's Office is asking people to avoid the areas of Crown Point, Long Draw, west of Red Feather Lakes, south of Deadman, and the southern end of the Laramie River Valley.
Firefighters will be assisted by several helicopters and are preparing for the arrival of additional resources, according to Canyon Lakes Ranger RD Twitter. Highway 14 is closed from Rustic to Gould.
