After starting the season with a 3-0 record where seemingly the Broncos and the coaching staff could do no wrong, the last two weeks has brought things down to Earth. After falling to the Baltimore Ravens 23-7 at Empower Field, the Broncos went into Pittsburgh and completely laid an egg against the Steelers for 3 quarters before waking up in the 4th quarter only to have a late rally fall short 27-19.

Injuries, play calling and just overall sloppy play has the Broncos sitting at 3-2 now with the rival Raiders coming to town this weekend. The Raiders themselves are mired in the middle of a two game losing streak after they dropped a 20-9 game last week against the Bears but their issues run much deeper with the resignation of their head coach Jon Gruden this past week over his email scandal.

Both teams are desperately in need of a win come Sunday as this game could propel one team and set the other back in a big way when it comes to the playoff picture especially in the difficult AFC and the West division where the Chargers are looking REAL good, let's not forget about the Chiefs who, even though they've lost a couple games too, are a strong team and trying to reach their 3rd consecutive Super Bowl.

During their the last two visits to Empower Field, these games have come down to a 2 point conversion in the final seconds of the game. Last year, the Raiders converted for the one point win and in 2019, the Broncos D stopped them to hold on for a 16-15 win. Not sure if it will come down to THAT again this year but this looks to be a fantastic matchup with a very special treat for fans in attendance as they will get to see former coach and two time winning Super Bowl champion Mike Shanahan get inducted into the Ring Of Fame.
