Broomfield’s ‘The Bay’ Adds New Night Swimming for Summer
Keeping the kids from being "bored" during summer vacation can be a chore for many Colorado parents. For about the same time it gets to get to Denver's Water World, you can get the kids out for swimming at night with "glowing" water.
Where Does the 'Glowing' Night Swimming Happen Near Denver?
About 4.5 miles west of I-25 on 120th Avenue in Broomfield, you come to The Bay Aquatic Park in Broomfield. It has a lot of amenities including a leisure pool with race slides, two body slides, and a toddler pool with a playground, locker rooms, concessions, and picnic areas. During the summer, they have swimming at night.
When Can We Go "Night Swimming' in Broomfield During the Summer?
With their 2026 season and new renovations to The Bay, they added "Family Night Swimming" sessions. During those sessions, the main pool and the watersides are lit up with color-changing lights. It really does look like fun.
They do this on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights through Labor Day; the cost is $9 per person and you need to get your tickets ahead of time. $9 is much cheaper than a day at Federal Heights' Water World, for sure.

Think of how tired the kids will be after an evening of having fun in the illuminated water. You can expand the adventure by stopping by the Westminster location of Colorado's famous 1up Arcade Bar for fun and games beforehand, it's only about five minutes away.
