A tornado was been spotted in southwestern Weld County near Highway 85 and Platteville, Denver7 reported.

Meteorologist Mike Nelson said that this is a landspout tornado, and it is a weaker and short-lived storm, but he said that wind speeds could reach up to 100 miles per hour and cause roof damage or 'rearrange' patio furniture.

No reports of damage as of 5:30 p.m. The National Weather Service has a tornado warning in effect until 6 p.m. Pea-size hail is possible. You can stay updated from Denver 7 here.
