Many in Northern Colorado haven't heard of Bowl Izakaya, but the Japanese pub is getting set to have four locations in the area.

Bowl Izakaya Coming to Development in Johnstown, Colorado

The first of these Japanese pubs, Bowl Izakaya opened its doors in late 2i019, in west Loveland. By late 2025 the state will have four locations dining and hanging with friends. Have you heard of them?

Honestly, I hadn't heard of Bowl Izakaya until it was announced that they were one of three new restaurants coming to the Ledge Rock Center development in Johnstown. That's the development where Woods Market (the supermarket with a bar) is being built.

Where Are All the Bowl Izakayas in Colorado?

As of February 2025, Bowl Izakaya could be found in three Colorado cities:

  • Longmont - At the Village at The Peaks (Near Hover and Ken Pratt.)
  • Greeley - On 8th Avenue between 10th Street and 12th Street.
  • Loveland - At the Thompson Valley Towne Center (Taft and 14th Street SW.)
  • Coming in 2025: Johnstown - at Ledge Rock Center (I-25 and Hwy 60.)

I have a friend who's been to the Bowl Izakaya in Loveland and he says it's terrific. You get a lot of food for what you pay, which is great. I see that they have yakitori and ramen (I like both) along with sushi (I'm not that big of a fan of sushi.)

Bowl Izakaya describes themselves as a Japanese-style Irish pub, where you can come in after work and have a couple of drinks and get some dinner.

I am a fan of cheesecake and it looks like they have New York Cheesecake as a dessert option as well as Mochi Ice Cream.
