Former Baskin-Robbins in Colorado Becoming a Boozy Ice Cream & More Shop
Loveland looks to be getting its own alcohol-infused ice cream shop, taking the place of what used to be a place that sold "regular" ice cream. While there are more than a few places to get ice cream in The Sweetheart City, this place will definitely stand out.
Can You Get Drunk From Having Alcohol-Infused Ice Cream?
According to FoodRepublic.com, you would have to have so much of that ice cream, that you would be too full; so the short answer is "not really." However, kids are not allowed to consume any alcohol-infused product. I have a friend who "dabbled" at boozy ice cream; it was difficult to get it "just right," and not end up with a sloppy mess.
Boozee Treats has been around Northern Colorado for a few years, started by a woman who got the idea with friends. Soon, she had seven flavors of infused ice cream. The small business took off, with Debra Mills adding more than just ice cream to the alcohol-infused menu; cakes, cheesecakes, brownies, mouse, etc. First, she worked out of her home, then came a food truck, and in late summer of 2025, the opportunity for a brick-and-mortar location was too "sweet' to pass up.

In late July of 2025, two Baskin-Robbins in Northern Colorado closed down; one in Longmont and one in Loveland, both franchised by the same person. I know that one in Loveland, in the Orchards Shopping Center, had been around for decades; it was a shame to see it close down. With Boozee Treats taking over the space, though, at least something "fun" will be there.
